Kahlown Grabs Our Attention

Kahlown is a great software program that brings together capturing,
recording, and PC monitoring. Kahlown was installed on our Windows 7
64-bit operating system by using the developer's default settings. The
installation proceeded perfectly and we were soon into the program
itself.
Kahlown was found to be a unique software program in the
tasks it performed. Using a stealth mode capability to record the
monitor screen as a video file or as single screen captures was not so
unique but the way it had done it was. With Kahlown, we recorded approximately XXXXX hours of video and only use approximately XXXX
megabytes using the Xvid codec we were able to download directly from
the developer's website. After hours of recording the monitor screen,
we were presented with a single avi file that had taken increment
screenshots every minute.
But that's not all. Kahlown Professional
allowed us to do our own screen capturing by different types such as:
full screen, the working area, just part of the screen, a single window,
a complete browser window or just the url address. Granted this is a
pretty basic type of screen capturing but with other features, it
becomes impressive.
We liked the addition of the manual screen
recording as well. We could record our favorite show, record the
desktop for any tutorials, and so much more.
Other pretty
impressive features include the ability to add our own annotations to
our screen shots or recordings, the ability to affect the video quality,
the many compressors we were able to use for recording (though somewhat
limited for the 64-bit operating system).
As always, one of the most
important ingredients for a quality software is its customer support.
The customer support we received from the developer was extraordinary.
The developer was perceptive to our questions as well as thankful.
With
all of that said, we did find just a couple of improvements that need
to be attended to. For instance, we were impressed by the stealth mode
but the video files were saved in an unsecured location and that means
anyone with a search option could simply erase them. We recommended to
the Lesoftrejion team of securing these files and they agreed. They
further stated this would be an addition on the next version.
The
second down side to this software was the bugs in its recordings. We
were not able to record from our monitor screen on every occasion and
get a workable video, but with a restart or our PC the problem seemed to
dissolve.
Because of the software's many features, its very
impressive customer support, the lifetime upgrade policy, the uniqueness
of the application itself, along with its very affordable pricing, we
feel this software deserves our 5 star review and you should give it a
look over.
