Sagelight Image Editor 3.1 Review
By
admin
Lifetime Upgrades has downloaded and review Sagelight 48-bit Image Editor 3.1 using the default settings put forth by the developer. We have tested the software on Windows 7 64-bit operating system and Windows XP 32-bit. The install went perfectly and we were soon deep inside the inner workings of this amazing software package.
We can say, we were pleasantly surprised of the tutorials that carried us through many of the options available. Having an Auto Balance feature, Smart Fill Light Tool and many others, including Dodge tools, burn tools, clone brush, etc. made this software exciting to use.
We found many pros for Sagelight but only two separate cons. With so many features in this software, a new user can get lost. We really recommend every user take the time to view the tutorials and get familiar with it, or they probably won\'t appreciate its full potential.
The only other con for this software is that the lifetime upgrade feature at the time of purchase is only temporary. We are going to hate the day that we must remove the software from our site because the upgrade policy changes.
Our recommendation is that anyone looking for a photo or image editor download and install the trial version now and purchase it as quickly as possible before the lifetime upgrade policy changes.

Sagelight 4.0 Beta is here with many improvements to the previous version. The author of this great software is still offering a lifetime upgrade for the prerelease of this beta version.
The reason for the lifetime upgrade, is simple. The author wants to give the customer a great product, put it in as many hands as possible, and receive as much feedback as possible about this new version.
Once you purchase Sagelight, you will be given the opportunity to download the beta version by simply writing the author and requesting it.
Some of the great improvements in this new version are:
1. Curves..The author admits many advanced editors already have this feature, this feature of curves has added speed, easy selection, multiple color spaces, a chroma channel, and a much improved histogram.
2. Much improved vibrance results..Enjoy much deeper colors and control with less noise.
3. Easier to use masking tool..Because masking is used quite frequently in advanced image editing, the author has put a lot of time in this improved edition of the masking tool.
4. Layering..A new feature called Power Box Layers have been added that adds the effects your wanting.
Though this may not be a software for the novice user, if you are wanting an image editor that compares to Photoshop and you have the time learn it, give it a try.
What you can expect according to Sagelight's blog post.
Soon to follow will be numerous tutorials as well as video tutorials about getting the most out of this software. The author reported on January 16, 2011.
LightBlender 1.0
- The LightBlender is a
powerful tool that helps you manipulate the light in your image in many
ways. It can help you bring up the shadows in very dark pictures, bring
down the highlights, and otherwise make very big differences in your
image with just a few controls. - At its simplest level,
it’s sort of like the Smart Light Controls, but has much more range and
acts differently to dramatically change your image. See the examples in
the post below. - The LightBlender is
located in the Power Box, and works with the Quick Edit Mode, and in all
color spaces (RGB, C*I*E LAB, and HSL) in the Pro Quick-Edit Mode.
Changes on the new version:Complete SSE/MMX rewrite, 50 new functions. Much faster and more extensive functionality.
